The Alameda Aero Club
The Alameda Aero Club is a small, all volunteer, non-profit flying club dedicated to promoting general aviation and providing
our members with well-maintained, inexpensive airplanes. We are based at the North Field of Oakland International Airport,
across the Bay from San Francisco in Northern California. We have 4 aircraft -- 4 Cessna 172's
-- that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for club members. We also have an
experienced group of full-time and part-time FAA-certificated instructors offering instruction -- so come and
learn to fly (or get that instrument rating) with us!
Our aircraft are accessible 24 hours a day via our web-based reservation system, and we maintain a generous policy for overnight and weekend reservations. You will not find a friendlier or more accessible club in our area. (However, please keep in mind that this is an all-volunteer club, and we really welcome members who can assist in club activities from time-to-time.) If you are looking for a complete aviation club experience, you've come to the right place!
Membership fees consist of a $70 refundable deposit and dues
of $30.00 per month. Aircraft rental rates are currently $120 per hour, tach / wet. Read more about
the club or view and download the application on our signup
page. For more information, please contact the Membership Officer.
Aircraft owners: the club is always looking for aircraft, especially either another 172 or a small complex aircraft
(something like an Arrow, Cardinal RG, etc.) for leaseback to the club. Our leaseback deal is very attractive, and you remain in
complete control! Email our club president or
chief pilot for details.
