The Alameda Aero Club
The Alameda Aero Club is a small, all volunteer, non-profit flying club dedicated to promoting general aviation and providing our members with well-maintained, inexpensive airplanes. We are based at the North Field of Oakland International Airport, across the Bay from San Francisco in Northern California. We have 4 aircraft -- a Piper Arrow (Complex), Piper Warrior and two Cessna 172s-- that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for club members. We also have an experienced group of full-time and part-time FAA-certificated instructors offering instruction -- so come and learn to fly (or get that instrument rating/commercial/CFI) with us!
Our aircraft are accessible 24 hours a day via our web-based reservation system, and we maintain a generous policy for overnight and weekend reservations. You will not find a friendlier or more accessible club in our area. (However, please keep in mind that this is an all-volunteer club, and we really welcome members who can assist in club activities from time-to-time.) If you are looking for a complete aviation club experience, you've come to the right place!
Membership fees consist of a $200 refundable deposit and dues of $30.00 per month. Aircraft rental rates are currently $145 for the Arrow, $135 for the Warrior and $125 for the Cessnas per hour, tach/wet. Read more about the club or view and download the application on our signup page. For more information, please contact the Membership Officer.
Aircraft owners: the club is always looking for aircraft for leaseback to the club. Our leaseback deal is very attractive, and you remain in complete control! Email our club president or chief pilot for details.
