The Alameda Aero Club carries insurance for member pilots, passengers, and planes through XL Insurance Co. / Bramar Associates Insurance Services, Inc.  Here are the main elements of the policy:

Usage: Instruction and rental.

Liability Limit:

$1,000,000 Combined single limit of bodily and property damage including passengers.
Passenger liability limited to $100,000 per passenger seat, $300,000 each occurrence.
Property damage liability limit: $100,000 each occurrence.
Student / Renter Liability limits:
      Bodily injury excluding passengers: $100,000 per person, $300,000 each occurence;
      Passenger liability: $100,000 per person, $300,000 each occurence.

Hull Coverages and Deductible:

Ground and Flight Coverage with deductibles of $2,000 while not in motion and $2,000 while in motion, each and every loss. Full hull loss details described in schedules available at clubhouse or from the Board.

Note: members are individually generally responsible for only $500 of this deductible under club rules (see the club bylaws for exceptions and caveats).

Medical:

$3,000 any one person, including crew.
